Thunder Storm

Laughter of children’s play
Imagination at its best
The innocents of gallivanting
Echoes throughout the neighborhood

Summer locust humming
To the beat of Apollo’s rays
As a gentle cool touch of a breeze
Brings the trees to rhythm and dance

Darkness approaching soundlessly
As fury and rage draws nigh
And the sky explodes with electricity
Jolting me beneath my feet

Filled with excitement
Yet scared of the unknowing
Waiting for the clouds to burst
Holding my breath

Heaven’s gate arches, aligns
Revealing a spectrum display of hope
As laughter fills the air once again
And a hidden treasure awaits
